MathPrep is an online space for SAT and school maths tutoring. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site keeps, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who runs this site

MathPrep is run by a private maths tutor.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and, if you give it, your grade.
  • Learning records: the answers you submit, scores and time taken, lessons and topics covered, and notes the tutor keeps about lessons.
  • Lesson requests: the name, contact details, student level and message sent through the form on the home page.
  • Two small cookies: one keeps you logged in, the other remembers your language.

Why we use it

  • To run lessons, homework, quizzes and progress tracking.
  • To reply to lesson requests.
  • To keep accounts secure.

We don't use your information for advertising, and we never sell it.

Who can see it

Students see only their own work. The tutor sees the work of the students they teach. Nobody else can see your answers or scores.

A few services help run the site and process data only for that: Supabase stores the database and handles logins, Netlify hosts the website, and the graphing calculator loads from Desmos (desmos.com) when you open it.

How long we keep it

Account and learning records are kept while you're a student. Lesson requests are deleted once they're no longer needed. You can ask for your information to be deleted at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information. Deleting an account also deletes its answers and scores.

Children

Many students are under 18. If you're under 16, please make sure a parent or guardian knows you're using the site.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date.
